NEVER GIVE UP ON THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE

Like any good mother, when Karen found out that another baby was on the way, she did what she could to help her 3-year-old son, Michael, prepare for a new sibling. They find out that the new baby is going to be a girl, and day after day, night after night, Michael sings to his sister in Mommy's tummy.

The pregnancy progresses normally for Karen, an active member of the Panther Creek United Methodist Church in Morristown, Tennessee. Then The labor pains come. Every five minutes ... every minute. But Complications arise during delivery. Hours of labor. Would a C-section be required? Finally, Michael's little sister is born. But she is in serious condition. With siren howling in the night, the ambulance rushes the infant to the neonatal intensive care unit at St. Mary's Hospital,Knoxville, Tennessee.

The days inch by. The little girl gets worse. The pediatric specialist tells the parents, "There is very little hope. Be prepared for the worst." Karen and her husband contact a local cemetery about a burial plot. They have fixed up a special room in their home for the new baby - now they plan a funeral.

Michael, keeps begging his parents to let him see his sister, "I want to sing to her," he says. Week two in intensive care. It looks as if a funeral will come before the week is over. Michael keeps nagging about singing to his sister, but kids are never allowed in Intensive Care. But Karen makes up her mind. She will take Michael whether they like it or not. If he doesn't see his sister now, he may never see her alive. She dresses him in an oversized scrub suit and marches him into ICU. He looks like a walking laundry basket, but the head nurse recognizes him as a child and bellows, "Get that kid out of here now! No children are allowed. The mother rises up strong in Karen, and the usually mild-mannered lady glaressteel-eyed into the head nurse's face, her lips a firm line. "He is not leaving until he sings to his sister!" Karen tows Michael to his sister's bedside. He gazes at the tiny infant losing the battle to live. And he begins to sing. In the pure hearted voice of a 3-year-old, Michael sings:

"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are gray --- "

Instantly the baby girl responds. The pulse rate becomes calm and steady.

Keep on singing, Michael. "You never know, dear, how much I love you, Please don't take my sunshine away---" The ragged, strained breathing becomes as smooth as a kitten's purr.

Keep on singing, Michael. "The other night, dear, as I lay sleeping, I dreamed I held you in my arms..." Michael's little sister relaxes as rest, healing rest, seems to sweep over her.

Keep on singing, Michael. Tears conquer the face of the bossy head nurse. Karen glows. "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. Please don't, take my sunshine away."

Funeral plans are scrapped. The next, day-the very next day-the little girl is well enough to go home!

Woman's Day magazine called it "the miracle of a brother's song." The medical staff just called it a miracle. Karen called it a miracle of God's love!

This is what we call as Unconditional Love :) which has the power to move anything in this universe.

Even Your Trust Can Remove The Mountain

In the old Chinese age, there was a dumb old man who live in the North Mountain. In his place there’s also remain two mountains that not only block the view, but also block his way to the village and to other place. This condition, off course, makes a difficult situation for him because if he wants to work, he must find the turning road between those mountains. At last, he decided to move those two mountains, and then he started the family meeting in his house.

“Let’s move those mountains together”, he said to all of his family. “Let’s dig those stones and make those flattered with the soil.” Everybody agreed with his idea, except his wife. “Hey old man, you can’t move those mountains anyway. Look at you, you are old now and you don’t have much power again to do that. You even can not move a bunch of soil in front of your house, any way where will we put those stones?” Her wife said. “We can throw those mountain’s stones to the East China Sea” He replied.

So, after that, the old man starts to do his plan according to what he dreams. He has a support from all of son, grandson, even he has helped by his neighbor. They do with all the tools that they have from hammer until the simple farmer tools. They work together and day by day they start to dig the mountain’s stones everyday. All the stones, all the mud and all the soils were thrown to the East China Sea everyday. Even the neighbor kids who still 7 years old also helped their effort.

One day, when the dumb old man walks to his workplace, he met the wise old man at the edge of the river. The wise old man knew what the dumb old men done already about the two mountains, so he made a comment to his fellow “Be logic my friend. Now you are 90 years old. Even a single mud from the mountain was too heavy for you… and now you plan to move those mountains with your own hands? Just be rational my friend.”

But, the old dumb man replied his friend “You are so narrow minded. Look, don’t you see? If I die someday, this work will continue by all of my son and when they die, my grandson will continue this work and when my grandson die, their son will continue this work also. You see my friend, our family will getting grow and grow bigger with the bigger vision, but those mountain? They will not grow bigger. How come you say that we can not move those mountains?

The wise old man raise his eyebrow and he don’t know what to do with his friend.

Far in the high place, the gods heard their conversation. They really touched by the old dumb man words and at that time the gods move the mountains.

“If you have a vision, act persistently, always motivating yourselves and your follower, what seems impossible, become possible. The wise man should become a dumb if they don’t trust and they act nothing. But the dumb man who trust and act persistently will become the one who can change the world.”

Should We Bypass the Ego or Fight It With Its Own Remedies?

For many years I have been reading a lot of spiritual books, and it is clear to me that what we call the ego in spiritual terminology is causing all the suffering in ourselves and in the world around us as well. The ego is controlling our lives and it fills us with fear, worries and anxiety. The ego may convince us that this or that is dangerous, that our dreams can't be fulfilled, that what we want is impossible for all thinkable reasons, etc.

The ego includes everything we have been told by our parents, the school, our relatives, our friends and society in general. Sometimes it seems that we spend most or all of our lives according to the expectations from all our surroundings. Few of us have the time, courage or energy to find out what we really want in our deepest part of our being. Thus in the final stage of their lives a great number of people realize that they have wasted a big part of their time on earth trying to satisfy the expectations of others, rather than doing what they really wanted themselves.

It is obvious that we must try to minimize the influence of this ego that causes us so many troubles. One of the methods is to meditate and bypass the ego to enter a more subtle and more harmonious stage of consciousness. The more time we spend in this non-ego state, the less time we give attention to the ego, thus minimizing its influence.

Another method is to try to fight the ego in the ego-conscious mind itself. If we can convince ourselves intellectually that what the ego represents is not appropriate, then with time and effort we can also reduce the bad influence from this ego.

Maybe a good approach would be to combine the two methods. Imagine that we meditate regularly trying to balance our conscious and subconscious mind to become more relaxed and harmonious. If, simultaneously, we constantly try to observe our thoughts and behavior and every time we encounter an inappropriate ego-thought we immediately exchange this thought with a constructive one, then our whole perception of the world should change.

Since the ego includes what we have learned from our surroundings, it is obvious that the evolution of society will affect the ego as well. Societies also have a certain morality, and the more spiritually developed the societies, the less harmful the egos ought to be.

Considering that societies are moving in the right direction, the next generations will be less egocentric and more spiritual. In the meantime we can make our own personal efforts to handle our proper egos in the best way.

Of course, I am aware that we don't all have the same perception of what is appropriate or inappropriate. Some people are very spiritual and others are not. I suggest that we fight the ego, but maybe others are living their lives on the ego's terms and having no problem with that. However, I hope that this article can be of some inspiration.

Let's Concentrate on Personal Development!

Let's Concentrate on Personal Development!

These days, watching TV, listening to the radio, reading newspapers or internet news is real torture: nothing but sickening scenes, a horrible litany of killings, bombings, murder, rape...

It's no use dwelling on the "reasons" or justification put forward by those who perpetrate such deeds.

However, one thing is obvious: at the root of all conflicts, there is manipulation by so-called "leaders" and here is an undeniable fact for you:

If every human being just decided to ignore these so-called leaders and concentrate on personal development, that would be the end of all conflicts between people and groups of people.

So, I say to you:

- Concentrate on your personal development.

- Never allow yourself to be manipulated by politicians, religious leaders, or any type of leaders. More often than not, such people are hardly able to lead themselves.

- God is everyone's God. If you believe in God, you can lead yourself to Him (or Her, for that matter). You certainly don't need anybody for that.

- As much as possible, look at human beings for what they are i.e. as individuals, not as members of a group, class, race, religion, country, culture, color, race, gender etc.

- Go straight for the "humanity in all human beings"

Of course, we are all more or less influenced by the society we were born into, the culture we grew up in, the language we speak. But deep inside, we all have something in common.

Maybe the only thing that could force human beings to unite and actually love and appreciate one another would be invaders from another planet, all set to destroy any being with that universally human quality: humanity. So, however deep inside you you'd try to hide your humanity, they'd have
a special device to sniff it out and destroy you.

Then of course, we'd all have to assume our common humanity, get together, and fight back.

So, if we must be "group-conscious", then let that group be Mankind, or - why not after all - the whole Universe and everything that exists.

Meanwhile, let's just concentrate on our own personal development. In the process and in other articles, I'll tell you about "know yourself", "love yourself" and "agree with yourself"

But "what" may you ask, "has all this got to do with Health, Beauty, and Wellness?".

The answer lies in one single word: BALANCE. Know yourself, love yourself, agree with yourself and you'll achieve
physical, psychological, moral and spiritual balance.

And THAT, my friend, is the ultimate health, beauty, and wellness secret tip. But please always remember: "Let's know each other to better know ourselves"

Money Makes a Man Motivated

If there is one thing that everyone needs and wants and dreams and thinks about – it is money. There are people for whom money means nearly everything while there are some others who believe money is the root of all evil. No matter what you believe, there is no denying that money is very important today. Interestingly, money can be used to motivate yourself very easily.

The primary power of money resides in its ability to let your buy things. The secondary function of money here becomes satisfaction or providing you with “entertainment” or “enjoyment” of the things you buy with it. Can you make use of these powers of money to increase your self motivation? Yes, you can.

Money is a perfect goal for two major reasons. Firstly, it is measurable. You can easily measure how much money you have. And secondly, it enables you to compare your performance.

When you set a certain amount of money as your goal, you can measure and compare if you reached the level your set goal. Of course, your primary goal cannot be money because money is a means to attain other “purposes”. But you can still use the power of money to motivate yourself and through your self motivation skills, you can easily make it a major source of motivation energy.

A quote by David Lee Roth comes to mind – “

Money can’t buy you happiness, but it can buy you a yacht big enough to pull up right alongside it.

We Shall Never Surrender!

We Shall Never Surrender!

These are words from a famous speech given by Winston Churchill after the British evacuation of Dunkirk in 1940.

For those of you of a younger generation who have not studied history, search for the speech on the net, and read the last paragraph slowly. Even today, one cannot fail to be moved to action by the stirring words.

Though the words were written 60 years ago, they still have relevance to us today, even though our problems are miniscule when compared to Churchill’s.

You see, when the going got really tough, he didn’t say “OK Adolf, you win, I give up” – he just got more determined, and instilled this determination in his people. If only Britain had a leader that could do that today!

There are many stories of people who never gave up. Remember Edison, and his perseverance to perfect the electric light bulb?

You may not like Sylvester Stallone as an actor, but when you read the story of how he pestered studios to get the first “Rocky” movie off the ground you begin to have new admiration for the man. Even though he was virtually broke, he turned down several offers from studios to make the film without him in it, but he rejected them all because he believed in himself and his project.

However, we have one big advantage over those people – the road to success has already been trodden by others before us. In order to succeed, all you have to do is what they did! That sounds pretty obvious, but it is surprising how many people do not realize this, or even worse, do recognize it and do nothing about it.

In this age of search engines, there is virtually no topic unexplored, no information on any subject withheld. We only have to type in any subject, and up will come hundreds, if not thousands of pages of information on that subject. Included in those pages will be the names of people who will help you in any endeavour, admittedly for a price. All you have to do is sort out the scammers from the genuine people, and again any search on their name will bring up comments about them to help you decide on their honesty and integrity.

So supposing you have sorted out a subject in which you are interested, and have bought a newsletter or program from a person of integrity, what do you do then?

Unfortunately, all too often the answer is nothing! People start a website, slap on a few half hearted affiliate links, and expect money to start rolling in, and when it doesn’t they give up.

Only the fortunate few decide to roll their sleeves up and say “I’m going to make this work!” And when it doesn’t, they don’t give up – they wait for a while, and if still nothing happens, they still don’t give up. They go back to their mentor or someone else, a forum perhaps, and find out why it isn’t working. In other words, they do an Edison- all they’ve done is found numerous ways which don’t work!

What separates the top 2% from the others is their willingness to keep trying until success comes, and to learn from their mistakes and from the mistakes of others.

If you need motivation to obtain perseverance, just tell your wife/husband and all your friends that you are going to be successful in what you are about to do. The thought of letting them down as well as yourself should provide enough incentive to keep going.

Finally, let us go back to Winston Churchill. When asked to give a speech at Harrow School in 1941, it was during the darkest days of the war. A myth has developed that Churchill stood before the students and said, "Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, give in. Never give in. Never give in. Never give in." Then he sat down. The truth is that he actually gave a full speech, in which the famous quotation is in the body of the speech, not even at the end.
Never mind, it’s still a good story, and for your purposes you only need to remember the quotation.

So, never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, give in. Never give in. Never give in. Never give in.

Then you can sit down....!!!

Motivation through Self Understanding

Time and again, self improvement teachers have pointed out how important self understanding is from the view point of motivation. Every person is different from the other people in the world. There are some unique qualities in each person who lives in the world. How can we use the same motivation techniques to motivate every person then? How can we make the same motivation techniques in a “one size, fits all” manner? The answer is that we can’t.

Since each and every person is different, what stimulates the self motivation and what makes him or her take action differs too. To be able to develop the very important self motivation skills, a person needs to understand his or her self inside out through self discovery.

And self understanding is not very difficult to achieve if done in a proper and systematic manner. Following are some tips for developing a level of self understanding easily:

#1 Question Yourself

Who knows the best about you? Who knows your each and every thought? Who knows how you feel about a thing exactly? No one else but you, yourself. This is why, you must question yourself – Who am I? What are my likes? What are my dislikes? Where do I see myself 20 years from now? Through questioning and prompting, you can develop your self understanding and then use it to motivate yourself very easily.

#2 Observe Yourself

It also helps to observe yourself and your activities daily and regularly. What are some of the things that you enjoy doing everyday? What are some of the things you want to do again and again because you like it? For example, you may like talking to a particular friend. If so, whenever you need some motivation, try to talk to that friend about it. This will boost your motivation levels. Identify such activities through observation and keep them in mind whenever you need to motivate yourself.

#3 Spend Time Alone

Finally, to get anywhere near self understanding, you need to spend sometime alone. Make it a habit to spend some time at least once a week with yourself. Try to find a peaceful and quite place and just sit there. Reflect on what you have done till now. How do you feel about it? Are you happy with what you’ve done so far? If no, then you can identify what you don’t like about it and make necessary changes.

Through self understanding, you can easily achieve the level of motivation you want at anytime you like. And once you have self motivation, there is nothing stopping you from achieving success.
